Operation Specification of Resilient Seat Gate Valve


1.Valve close direction is clockwise.

2. Pneumatic device inside the resilient seat gate valve in pipeline system is operated by manual. The times of open-close not too frequent avoiding damage valve. Open-close times of large size valves should be controlled range from 200---600.

3. Open-close force space should be within limits for saving manpower. Maybe it would need two or three people’s power to open and close if exceeding this limit, it should be finished by one person.

4. Valve size is suitable, keeping its face down when place it.

Installation

1. Keep valves open slightly before using. Valves should be stored in the dry and ventilated indoor environment cleanly and neatly, outdoor is not permitted. End caps should be covered valves’ both holes avoiding dust into valves.

2. Regular inspection should be adopted if long term storage.

3. Check valve’s specification and certificates carefully to ensure it according with usage requirements before installation.

4. Just keep valves full-on or full-off during using period.

5. Regular inspection should be adopted during using period. Don’t stop using valves immediately once problem occurs until finding and settle it. Install it on bypass-valve after strength and sealing test. Making the same test on the main valve after installation, also open it as main valve open.

6. Knock lightly on the body and bonnet to check for leakage when test the valves’ strength.

7. Don’t put oil on the sealing face except for plug valve allowed when test valves.

8. Pressure from blind plate on the valve should not be too big when valve pressure testing. Cast iron valve would even be damaged if pressing too tightly.

9. Drain out the water from the valve and clean it after testing, and record the test result.


Maintenance and Repair


1. Stop to use valves if deformation or corrosion occurs on the sealing face under body and parts in good condition. Reducing friction both disc and seat as soon as possible avoiding body damage because of it hard to repair and causing great waste.

2. The disc would press on the sealing face closely and balance the pressure of resilient seat gate valve automatically after resolving the deformation and corrosion problem, settling sealing face damage problem due to friction. Replaceable sealing ring increase greatly the valve’s life.

3. 3.  The soft sealing material could work in non-friction and non-folding condition due to keeping a distance with seat when valve on and off. The life of resilient seat valves is generally five times more than common valves’ due to sealing material separating medium from parts avoiding liquid corrosion and impurities blocking, sealing material also very convenient to replace. Reducing the waste and saving the resources for company greatly.
